RPG Forums Rubric.

I've designated this post as the holder for my personal writing assessment rubric. I have tailored this to my historic RP's and included elements like "Character Development" and "Historical Accuracy". This should give some examples as to what you're looking for when you reread and edit your writing.

Trait
Emerging
Developing
Proficient
Advanced.
Writing Quality
Writing contains several misspellings, grammar errors, uses the same word repeatedly and the post contains no detailing of events.
Writing contains some misspelling, several grammar errors, uses the same word many a times through out the post, with barely any detail and little description of events.
Very few misspellings, few grammar errors, several repeated words per paragraph, and it has enough detail to describe the events.
No spelling errors, no grammatical error, rarely uses the same word in a paragraph and each paragraph is well detailed and describes written events.
Historical accuracy
Character was written without any knowledge of the topics events and lacks historical accuracy.
Character is written with several historic errors and is easily seen as a fake.
character is almost entirely historically accurate and could nearly be real. Using proper names, events and times from historical guides and resources.
Using historical guides and reference the player writes the character with enough authenticity to make their character seem real.
Character development
Over the course of the RP the player puts very little development into the character, the character stays the same and doesn't change based on events that occur.
Over the course of the RP the player puts some thought into the development of the character. As major events occur the players evolves their character illogically to events.
Over the course of the RP the player evolves their character per event properly but they still feel a bit artificial
Over the course of the RP the player evolves their character to such an extent that the character feels alive, reacting and changing based on occurring events.
